Following their successful capital bid, LGH secured funding for a new sports hall and then identified the need for additional classrooms under Herts County Council’s expansion programme. LGH promoted combining these two projects to achieve cost and delivery benefits. LGH secured planning consent on an extremely restricted and challenging ‘stepped’ site.  This creative and efficiently planned building solution exploited the site’s dramatic topography, revitalising a previously inaccessible area of the school, whilst significantly enhancing the school’s sports curriculum.
